Abstract
The rapid evolution of wireless communication systems urgently requires the development of base station filters towards miniaturization and high performance. To overcome the conflict between volume reduction and loss diminution, this keynote provides a series of multi-mode technologies for various base station filter applications. Among them, high Q multi-mode resonator is utilized to lower insertion loss of filter without increasing size for high-power scenarios. Owing to multi-mode ceramic technology, the footprint of CWG filter is compressed while maintaining low loss. Besides, allocating multiple modes into different frequencies expands multi-mode technology to duplexers and multiplexers, which contributes highly to the miniaturization in multiband scenarios. The exhibited excellent performance and miniaturized circuit size make the presented multi-mode technologies good candidates for various base station filter applications.
